CCA Policy And Recruitment At ZPS
To help our children grow, CCAs are open to P3–P6 students, focusing on dedication to one choice per year. P3 recruitment begins warmly in mid-Term 2 to start in Term 3, while our P6s graduate from CCAs after Semester 1. We encourage children to attend at least 80% of the ~25 sessions. If your child is unwell or absent, please share a note with us. For supportive changes during the Nov/Dec window, parents can simply reach out via email.
CCA Policy and Recruitment at ZPS
CCA Policy at ZPS:
CCA will be offered to all P3 to P6 students.
The P6 students will be discharged from their respective CCAs at the end of Semester 1.
Each student in ZPS is only allowed to join one CCA per work year as CCA requires effort and commitment.
A student who has been successfully accepted to a CCA has to remain committed in that CCA until the end of the CCA work year (i.e. January to Oct/Nov).
All CCAs have an approximated number of 25 sessions for each work year with the exception of the Competitive Sports and
Performing Arts CCAs which will have more. (More for Competitive CCAs).
Students who do not achieve 80% of CCA attendance without valid reasons will be de-registered as members of the CCA at the end of the work year.
If a student is absent from CCA, the absence should be communicated by the parents via email, written letter or medical certificate to their CCA Teachers.
A change of CCA will only be allowed during the transfer window (i.e. Nov/Dec Holidays and before the start of the first CCA session of the work year). Request must be communicated by the parents via email to the CCA Teacher and cc to Mr Azman B Mohamed Hamzah @ azman_mohamed_hamzah@schools.gov.sg
CCA Recruitment at ZPS:
CCA Recruitment begins at P3 level.
The P3 CCA Recruitment will be conducted in the middle of Term 2.
Once allocated to a CCA, the P3 students will be attending their first CCA session in
Term 3.
